Muesli bar
Servings: 1 person
Carbohydrate Serves: 1 per person
(1 carbohydrate serve = 15 grams of total carbohydrate)
This is an example of an Australian snack food that fits within the 1 carbohydrate serve allowance.
Ingredients
1 Uncle Toby’s brand crunchy muesli bar
I don’t see a recipe for the muesli bars. Can you post it? They look great! Thanks!
Hey thanks for commenting Jodi! This was actually a *cheat’s* snack. Natasha, GDRecipes’ in-house dietitian pointed me in the direction of Uncle Toby’s brand crunchy muesli bars as they have just under 1 serve of carbohydrate per bar (i.e. less than 15gm of total carbohydrate.) I haven’t attempted to create a gestational friendly muesli bar yet but you have thrown down the glove! Will try it out in the next batch of recipes later this month. Thanks
Hi, a recipe for a choc muesli bar would be fantastic!! Forced ex chocoholic here haha would be nice to have some that are healthy
I wish I knew about these when I was pregnant last time… lucky me this time :) Thank you!!!!!!
It will really depend on the brands available in your country. If you’re eating a muesli bar as a snack, you’re aiming to keep to only 15 grams of carbohydrates in that whole snack. This particular Australian product is just a little less than that. Lisa x
Hi Kandice. This is a store-bought bar and is an Australian example of a packaged snack that works within the GDM diet recommendations. Cheers, Lisa x
