Most of us would always have yoghurt in the fridge so this is a good fall-back snack. It’s high in calcium but be sure to choose a low fat, low-sugar or natural version. You could even halve the amount and add a small handful of fresh or frozen berries for a change.
Ingredients
100g low fat yoghurt
I love this website! I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and referred by my certified nurse-midwife to a dietician. My health insurance refuses to pay for a dietician, stating (and I QUOTE) “Gestational diabetes can be successfully treated by reading a book.” While my CNM fights to get me under the care of a dietician, I am so happy and relieved to find a starting point to manage this condition. Thank you!
Hi Julie. We’re so glad you’ve found us. Sounds like you have some challenges to deal with where you are. If there are any specific questions you need to find out, let me know and I can see if our in-house dietitian Natasha can answer them for you. Be sure to have a good read of the ‘Understanding GDM‘, ‘Eating Well‘ and the articles and interviews. There is a heap of great info there for starters. Lisa x
