Muesli bar

Servings: 1 person
Carbohydrate Serves: 1 per person
(1 carbohydrate serve = 15 grams of total carbohydrate)

This is an example of an Australian snack food that fits within the 1 carbohydrate serve allowance.

1 Uncle Toby’s brand crunchy muesli bar

      Hey thanks for commenting Jodi! This was actually a *cheat’s* snack. Natasha, GDRecipes’ in-house dietitian pointed me in the direction of Uncle Toby’s brand crunchy muesli bars as they have just under 1 serve of carbohydrate per bar (i.e. less than 15gm of total carbohydrate.) I haven’t attempted to create a gestational friendly muesli bar yet but you have thrown down the glove! Will try it out in the next batch of recipes later this month. Thanks

      It will really depend on the brands available in your country. If you’re eating a muesli bar as a snack, you’re aiming to keep to only 15 grams of carbohydrates in that whole snack. This particular Australian product is just a little less than that. Lisa x

    Another bought bar option under 15grams of carbs is Eat Natural brand “fruit and Nut bars”. The “dark chocolate with cranberries and macadamias is 13.5grams of carbs per bar. They are available in the UK.
